Hurricane, Garurumon!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/batrock.net\/animeimages\/ds06-01.JPG\" alt width=\"600\" height=\"450\" hspace=\"2\" vspace=\"2\" border=\"1\"><\/center><\/p>\n<p>The inevitable happens! Also, they&#8217;re really messing with established evolutionary trends here. Don&#8217;t reinvent the wheel, people!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>After declaring that they&#8217;ll be friends forever, Agumon and Masaru get into a fight. &#8220;I wish I knew how to quit you!&#8221; says Agumon, storming into his Digivice. Of course, by the end of the episode, the pair realise that love is a force of nature and so they team up to take on the Digital World.<\/p>\n<p>I realised while I was watching this episode that <i>Digimon Savers<\/I> has never featured a &#8220;fighting is bad&#8221; message. Masaru is free to beat up any school punk he damn well pleases. On top of that, he doesn&#8217;t even have to <i>go<\/I> to school! He gets to live a damned cushy life. Plus Yoshino is allowed to drive a car! She&#8217;s like 14!<br \/>\nJapanese kids today, give them access to a vast underground monster network, they think they can do whatever they please! Listen, kids: if you don&#8217;t have a monster partner, you have to behave.<\/p>\n<p>The setup for the falling out was quite contrived, as these situations would have to have to be: fall out with your friend so that you can team up more powerful than ever before. The interesting aspect that this gave rise to was a conversation between the digimon, wherein they discussed their human relationships. Up until this point, the digimon had never interacted with each other. There&#8217;s no real sense of friendship between them, but they all have their own pieces to say and hopefully a camaraderie among digimon that has been somewhat lacking over the last however many years can be evolved.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of evolution, the writers are messing around with the process. Never before has Elecmon evolved into Garurumon! That&#8217;s Gabumon&#8217;s job! It should be noted that, despite being based on a <i>shiba-inu<\/i>, GaoGaomon is pretty much a clone of Garurumon; the two never really got the chance to fight, because Masaru was too busy going on his wild digimon riding adventures.<br \/>\nWhat&#8217;s next: Palmon evolving into Myotismon? Blasphemy!<\/p>\n<p>As a team building exercise, this episode is somewhat made up but enjoyable enough.
