Black Cat – episode 7

“A Wounded Cat”

Black Cat is easily the most entertaining show I’m watching this season, and in this episode it begins to approach its status quo by establishing an easy rapport between its characters.

So many shots of irrelevant objects set to dialogue make this episode a bit of a trial. Some fine points are made, but they could have been made so much better.

Bleach – episode 59

The end of one part of the story means the beginning of another! It also appears to mean the total neglect of Yamamoto and company. Still, the expedience of the Byakuya versus Ichigo match wrap up was admirable.

This episode was remarkably boring to look at. Otherwise, it was generally pleasant if nothing special – but I will admit that the “Let’s use the internet!” sequence was great.

“The Pillow Lane”

What a great and terrible episode. Ginko treats a middle-aged man, and now I realise why he does not normally follow this path. The darkness and tragedy inherent to this episode make it easily the best of an already excellent pick.

Bleach – episode 58

There’s something about Bleach that angers me: Ichigo deliberately allows himself to get stabbed near to death just so that he can say “Fooled you: I’ve actually got this mega awesome attack”.

This episode’s like that, plus it has bureaucracy and boobs.
