I welled up at the end.

The meaning of friendship is giving acorns to birds so that you may soar in the sky together.

Looks like Binchou-tan has become a two episodes at a time OVA. Suits me fine, if we get such an awesome ondo ED.
This is an autumn episode, and the moment Binchou-tan began collecting acorns and chestnuts, and saw a squirrel, my first thought was “kuri to risu”. Damn you, Ebichu! You’ve ruined my life!

Beautiful enough to bring a tear to your eye, is Binchou-tan. When times are upon you, the -tans are nice through and through.

An episode that is by turns depressing and uplifting. Damn your empty life, Binchou-tan!

Binchou-tan ondo! O-bon odori matsuri! With the introduction of the final -tan, this episode is quintessentially Japanese and ignores the problems inherent in Binchou-tan’s world so that she can have a little bit of fun for once.

Ren-tan is introduced and her seriousness comes across, quite simply, as hilarious. Also it looks like Binchou-tan is actually set in an earlier era, judging by the cars and TVs.

Another semi-depressing episode of Binchou-tan.
Binchou-tan – episode 4

On a rainy Sunday, Chiku-tan and Binchou-tan meet up, go to Binchou-tan’s secret hideout (a surprisingly –tan sized broken down car) and visit a bamboo forest. The rich –tan is taken for a walk in the rain by her butler and seems to long for contact with the outside world.
Binchou-tan – episode 3

It’s amazing how well Furuhashi Kazuhiro is building up a world with each episode. Binchou-tan’s appeal increases incalculably with the introduction of new characters and the presentation of the idea that the town features some kind of –tan school, for –tans.
