Kiba – episode 12

Seriously, every time Dumas appears on screen to talk to anyone I imagine that he is saying “your resistance only serves to make my penis harder!”
Needless to say, it is now physically impossible to take Kiba at anything approaching a serious level.
Kiba – episode 11

With the introduction of Cackling Dumas, Kiba has managed to break its own stupidity barrier. Consider me shocked, surprised, and perhaps not willing (or able) to go any further.

Jimoto’s new reign relies entirely on blood sport to control its citizens. Serve the Jimoto army and die, or refuse the Jimoto army and die a little earlier!
Zed’s ideas grow more and more irrational, while Robes gains a veneer of professionalism.

Some questions are answered and the door is open for new lands to be attacked and conquered.

Insanity is always a good reason to commit bad acts. So, too, is anger towards your parents. You can add to that list confusing story telling that obscures a characters’ allegiance even as it reveals it.

Kiba – episode 7

I could not bring myself to dislike this episode, despite the fact that it’s almost cemented Robés as a “No! My beautiful face!” character. Zedd must be okay after all.
Kiba – episode 6

When your B story is so much more interesting than your A story, and when your B character is infinitely more interesting than your A character despite the fact that he’s only capable of being horrified about what’s going on around him, that’s when you’ve got trouble.
Kiba takes a jump off the subtlety train and conveys messages about government responsibility that are about as delicate as a brick to the head.

Kiba – episode 5

The focus is taken away from Zed and shifts to Noa. I’m not sure what to think of this story; it has an interesting take on dictatorships masquerading as utopias (although More’s original Utopia could be considered a dictatorship anyway), but it chooses to frame this story with inexplicable “Noa in the desert” scenes.

Here we get more unimpressive, with a tournament and magical cosplay.
Kiba – episode 3

Try as I might, I can’t bring myself to dislike Kiba. Even this episode had some interesting concepts and exciting uses of cool new skills. Overall, it was an episode that one can apply lots of adjectives to.
Although whoever is writing Zed’s dialogue needs to be shot.
